Ever wondered what the Guardian Bells were for? Legend has it that evil Road Spirits have been latching on to Harley-Davidsons since they have been on the road. These evil little spirits are the ones responsible for mechanical problems and bad luck on a journey. When you attach a guardian bell to your motorcycle, the evil spirits get trapped inside where the constant ringing drives them insane- they lose their grip and fall to the ground creating all the pot holes we see along the way. According to the legend, these bells carry twice the power when they are given as a gift.
